Hey guys, new to the forum(boy has it been educational) as well as trapping. was wondering if you could use a deer gland or even scraps from the processor for bait.
Thanks for any help!

After some research(that I should have started with) I see deer meet/liver will work. not sure about what to mix it with or if I just go with fresh or rancid. Still curious about the tarsal gland. will it work? would it be a bait or more of a attractant? Sorry for all the armature questions. I'm trying to figure this out. I know its a process.

In my province, using bait piles of processed game scraps is a common method for attracting wolves, coyotes and fox.

I have used fresh and rancid moose/deer meat in dirt holes with good results.
