I always do now. I get a box of 100. Even if you aren't concerned with disease, your wife will appreciate it when your hands aren't covered in fat or blood.

I use rubber gloves when im skinning. Are you talking about protective fleshing gloves or rubber gloves?

I have a pair of Fleshing gloves, but I don't use them because they are too bulky.

I alays do on carnivores. Talk to your doctor if you need to find out about disease risks!

I wear latex gloves when skinning or fleshing any furbearers.Over the years,I have encountered many things while skinning---and none of them were something I wanted on my own body parts.
The gloves are light and after you get used to them, you will always wear them.

Always. The surgical ones do a good job but they can rip fairly easily. some mechanics have a type of blue latex glove that is very tough. It can even be removed and used the day after (once in a while!)

Always where them now. One thing is disease. Another nice thing is you can peel them off and not so hard to wash up. Wife can get ugly with a nice smear of coon grease on the door handle. wink I buy the nitrile gloves mostly because their lighter than latex and hold up better and if you wear latex to much you could develop an allergic reaction to it. Thats why you see so much stuff listed as latex free these days. I'm an EMT and our group gets the gloves from medical supply companies so they are cheaper than if you would buy them from other places.

I always wear latex gloves when skinning. During trapping season it seems my hands are always cracked, nicked, scratched, or cut some how. Don't need infection (or worse) to ruin your season!
