Snares, and snare locks have improved a good bit. I agree about the use of body grips, bucket sets, culverts, and especially the above ground sets for marten/fisher & bobcat. My hands are pretty well tied here in WV, but for some of the guys using them in other areas, it's almost a matter-of-fact thing. Either the trap is set, or you caught something. And dog proof coon traps.
My opinion, one of the most important things that's changed in the last 20 years is attitude. Not just trappers, but our DNR's, and the public.
