once a beaver becomes trap shy is it always trap shy or can that change from year to year? I.E if I miss one in a bodygrip this year may I have a second chance at it in a year or two down the road?

Beaver have good memories. But a year is a long time. With a well hidden trap you might be o.k..

Good luck.

There is no definite answer, but I agree with Musher... Beaver have good memories.
