Is Bobcat scat about 3/8 to 1/2" diameter, segmented into pieces about 3/4 to 1" long---2 or 3 segments in each piece, dark, but NOT black, with tiny pieces of fur and bones in it? There are NO berries--so I don't think it is 'coon---way too small and not tapered---so not fox----definitely NOT Coyote-----could be fisher [? ] ---was found on top of a rock, that sticks up about 8" above the grass----near some rotten bait I threw away. Any thoughts? Also---the area has fisher, coon, fox, cat and coyote. I do not have a picture.

Cat scat is usually larger, and doesn't usually contain large pieces of bones.

Do you little bones and mouse teeth? They do like to poop up on something here.

Yes they will chew up mice and little birdies, but they won't crack whole bones like a coyote does. I've seen a lot of coyote scat whit half a rabbit/squirrel leg bone in it. When cats get to bones that large, they chew around them.
