Hal, if I remember, didn't you write an article in this subject once upon a time? I recently ran into a lot of beaver and bobcat sign together, and noticed tracks in the fresh mud on a dam. Any advice on setting those up? Are blind sets the only way to go?

Thanks,
Tom

Look for a place on either end of the dam to set a snare.

Check out any logs over streams for cats too. Nice to see a cat in a snare there.

I like to set footholds right off each side of the dam and snares out from them. I set the snares at fox/coon heights and the traps are cat sets. I.ve found that everything uses the dam crossovers
