Is that South Branch, Tim?

I wish our ice was that clear. We have 8" of snow on our ice right now.

No, that's the South Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River. That location is about 20 miles above where it meets the South Branch of the Potomac.

We talked about it yesterday, that's the biggest, prettiest and deepest hole on the South Fork. Years ago it was full of fish, but not today. We got up to 50* today, I figure there is water flowing over the ice now.

Looks beautiful. The mountain streams never get old. I just get confused about how they name some of them sometimes. Lol

We only got up to 35, and it snowed all day today. Tomorrow is supposed to stay below freezing for most of the day too, but we are supposed to get rain on Wednesday.

Yes, that's part of my area.

I'll start a new thread about snaring suckers.

Yesterday it was almost 60 F here. The fields were green again, people were happy and life was good. Today, it is 13 F with about 14" of snow, everything is white, people are miserable and life is still good- as long as you find something to putter with in the barn -- far, far away from your wife.

We had plus nine on Friday and it's minus 34 C. today.

Rain on Friday buggered the snow. We got about 6 inches of fresh stuff yesterday. If it warms up a little, I want to harness the dogs but I'm afraid a snow/ice bridge I made will no longer exist.

Geez! Minus 34*C is close to our minus 30*F. That's when everything shuts down. Schools, shopping centers, cars. How far north are you in QC? The middle of Wisconsin is at the 45* 00" latitude. I see where the top of Maine is around 49* 00". Minus 34*C has got to be some serious snotcycle weather!! Your tea made with propylene glycol?? grin

Frank. cool

I am not too far north. I could be in Maine in 6 hours or so.

i used to live at 55 in latitude. Much colder there. -33 this morning.
