I hesitated to post these, but I saw this forum was for "other outdoor activities", so here goes.

We had a great year bowhunting in Nevada. My wife and I both took Pope & Young record books bucks. I also took a nice bull elk and she shot a coyote, both of these were with a bow.

Took this bull at 32 yards. He responded to a bugle and was angry when he came in. Tore up brush and trees on the way to us. Only went about 75-80 yards.

Very nice pictures and congratulations!! Looks very dry and "desert like" there. I am surprised the Elk can find enough to eat. How did you get the Coyote to stand still long enough for a bow shot?? And close enough???

My wife shot it at a waterhole. It came in for a drink and paid the price. 23 yard shot.

The story of this hunt is tentatively scheduled for the September issue of Bowhunter magazine.

Looks like you had a fun trip. It's always better when the game animals show up!
