Well, I checked the 4 mountain cameras yesterday, it'd been 29 days since the last check. Had right at 1,000 total pictures, seems like a lot of "empty" pictures. A bunch of squirrel pictures, especially at the "upper salt lick" camera. Squirrel season is in now, I believe a man could sit there and have a bucket full in 3 or 4 hours. One bobcat picture, a couple fox and coon pics. Bear on all 4 cameras. The cameras didn't get the biggest bucks this time. I'll add more pictures later.

Note to self: Changed batteries in camera #1 and #3.

My girlfriend and I took a ride around the west side of Little Mountain last evening, bumped into one of the regulars at camera #4. Pretty sure all 3 pictures are the same buck. It's not very smart, stood broadside 30 yards above the road and let me take pictures. I'd guess he'll be 18 months old in November. The mountain has a really good acorn crop this year, places in the road where you could sweep up a gallon bucket full. And did see a grouse.

I checked the mountain cameras yesterday, it'd been 4 weeks. Lots of bear pictures, and one nice buck. Also have 3 or 4 small bucks on the lured rock camera. And one small, very small bobcat. I'll try to find the little bobcat picture and post it later.

That's a pretty nice buck for this area.

There's the little bobcat.

After the rain, yesterday was a beautiful day to be in the woods. We put up a camera at the "Upper salt lick", for whatever reason, Moe took his camera down. Moe and I are going to have a talk today or tomorrow.

Note to self: Changed batteries in the lower salt lick camera.

This is what my pictures look like on my computer, that's 5 trail cameras plus my handheld camera, each little square is one day. Figure some of those cameras will average 15 or more pictures per day. It takes a while to look at all of them.

Here's a picture of the salt block at camera #4, with my little knife for comparison.

I zoomed in on this buck, the more I look at it's head, I'll guess it's spread at about 15 inches at the widest spot. Fairly heavy beams.
