I live in Washington State where we can use only box traps. This means colony traps are the only feasible option for trapping muskrats. Anyone have advice on trapping muskrats in the bigger rivers with colony traps?

I think that rather than use colony traps, you would be better off with a regular box trap, with a triggered door. Bait the trap in shallow water with some apple.
