i saw some trees on my land that were fresh beaver chews and i looked between them and the creek 40 yrds away but couldnt find a heavy trail to set on so whats my best option to set a 330 to get him?

They have to be coming out of the creek somewhere. Look carefully.

If you haven't yet, I'd start in 30 or 40 yards below the bottom tree and walk the waterline or wade up the creek looking for sign.

You'll probably find a little low place, or a root ball, little cove with slack water or something where they are coming out of the creek.

Thinking about it, it would be about like me looking for a spot to beach my kayak, or a spot for me to get out of the water if I'd be swimming. I'm looking for calm/slack water. Behind a rock or something.

Another thing that I thought about, if the beaver have already ringed the trees, they are dead. You could cut the smallest tree, that would speed up the process, they'd make a trail.
