This conversation has been going on in the bear hunting circles for years and years. I understand both sides of the argument, there isn't an easy solution.
This is very similar to trapping too. We've lost so much land to development.
Yesterday, I talked to a man and woman from Lancaster, PA, they recently bought property north of town. 20 acres or so? Same property where my friend Diana built her cabin, on 20 acres. Years ago I trapped and hunted that property, year after year. All together that property was around 10,000 acres, as well as I remember. It's ruined, it'll never be hunted or trapped again. Not like I did in the past.
