Right now about 180 people are viewing this site's content. That is quite a high number but not an unusually high one.

I am curious to see if that number comprises bots.

So I would like to try an unscientific survey. If you read this thread, please post a response. Anything will suffice. For example, "yes" will do. Even an "X".

My logic is that if 30 people are viewing, we should get close to 30 responses.

Of course, this all falls apart if people recheck the thread and do not respond a second, third or fourth time ....

The number of "views" should closely reflect the number of "replies" if people respond and bots are not the viewers ....

Problem is that you have to log in to respond, which means you have to be member of this site. You should have the total number of members in your files, so to interpolate all numbers, you should have an idea of the number of robots. Yes? No? Maybe so??

Frank.

Maybe a bot can somehow register?

To be honest, I don't see what a bot owner stands to gain by coming here. But the high numbers don't seem to make sense. 30 viewers are in this section right now ....

Looking at the "user list", it looks like there are nearly 8,000 registered members. 7,300 plus, give or take.

About the password and all, on my computer when you sign it, there will be a box where you can: Remember this password. Click that, you're back on.

I don't sign in every time that I go online, I'm always signed in. Now and then I will need to sign it. If you lose your password, you should be able to get it back, from an email.

There are always folks reading the archives. People ask me about this or that, and I'll tell them to search the archives. Thinking about it now, there is more information, spelled out in black and white, with pictures and all, in the archives than you'll find in any book and a whole stack of DVD's.

It's just like the threads here on the Old Hollow Log board, they are 99% firsthand experience, practical knowledge. You may never use it, but just good stuff to know.
