It mightwithstand moisture a bit better if you are in a freeze thaw type cycle.Though I've never convinced myself of that.Other than that it will just cost twice as much to use

I didnt like the idea of putting anything in my dirt so I let some sit out in the sun this summer and dry out. I put it the freezer to see if it would freeze, it didnt so I figure that it wont freez in the ground unless it rains.

in this area of the country with a lot of rain early in the season and some freezing temps i found waxed dirt to be unbeatable what a pleasure to work with a little hard to bed in but mixed properly with natuarl dirt it works great.
