I had the bridger #1 coil with offset jaws. the held a mink fine. But when I had raccoons in them they seem to catch a little low on the foot. One was by just two toes.I traded them for #11 victors and have been very happy. a solid pad catch on ever coon so far. I personal like the #11 more than the #1 coil.

I like the 1&1/2 double jaw.

Ihave used a few #1 duke cs they work but you have to watch your trap placment very close, and you will get some toe catches. I prefer to use the 1 1/2 coil they work about the best for me

Moscow I've held coon in #1cs but not well. The traps where set for muskrats I don't personally know anyone who would intentionally set a #1 for coon. #11 dl and #1.5 cs are the best traps you'll find for coon.[ personal opinion ] Before you buy from a store check some of the online supply houses you might get a better price. If you haven't yet, check the thread titled [ best foot hold for coon ]. You might want to check the archives to. Lost

The problem with the #1 coil is not holding power, it's jaw spread. We've had the discussion about the #1 coil being effective in precluding self-directed biting, and this is because of it's small jaw spread. By the same token, you'll get some misses with this small trap.
