Let's discuss the matter of coyote seasons.
In Ohio, the coyote 100% unwelcome. There is no closed season. Also, even though it is technically classified as a furbearer, hunters are not required to have a Fur Taker permit to hunt them. Fox, and coon hunters are required to purchase a Fur Taker permit. (This regulation is primarily so deer and turkey hunters can shoot a coyote. In fact, coyotes and wild boar are the only other "upland" animals you can kill legally during our deer gun season.)
